| Melanie Marie Kreuzhof was born on the 5th of december
1964 in Bad Kissingen to a Gypsy woman and a German and feels herself
appendant to both cultures. She lived and worked in Cologne and
Monte Carlo, since 1991 in beautiful Mondsee, Austria. Melanie is
married and has 3 children.
Being a computer programmer and photographer, she developed her
own art of virtual modified digital photography till 1998.
In the end of the 90th she studied techniques of painting and
analogue collaging to extend her spectrum of expressions. Today
these techniques give additional effects to her photographic compositions
and liberate them from the volatileness of reproduction.
The heart of her artwork is the surrealistic unique, showing
dream sequences, longings and desires, psychograms and critical
views of the presence. Her uniques can not be reproduced, even
if they are based on photos, prints and digital collages.
Melanie Marie Kreuzhof´s world is the world of massurrealism
– an art category, first named by the US Artist James Seehafer
in 1992. Since that time, massurrealism irresistibly conquers
the galleries of the world, suspiciously watched by the established
mainstream artists – like pop art was in it´s early years.
